Doris Digance, the mother of fellow exhibitor Richard Digance lived from 1918 to 1985. A factory worker until she turned her hand to painting at the age of 63 when she enrolled at Newham College, London. She painted full-time for just five years until she died in 1985, leaving us with some hidden gems. A portfolio of her enchanting watercolours were discovered almost twenty years after her death and we are proud to be the exclusive exhibiting gallery of her new-found pieces.
